Synecdoche
Synecdoche is a figure of speech in which one thing is said and another thing is meant .The thing said and the thing meant are closely and internally related .
Example :
1.Five summers have passed .
Here summers mean years .
2.I want five hands in my office .
Here hands mean persons .
3.He earns his bread .
Here bread means food .
4.I have no silver and gold.
Here "silver and gold" means wealth
