"Safe Drive, Save life '
Safe Drive, Save life ' is one of the dream projects of the honourable chief Minister of West Bengal. The campaign was launched on 8th July, 2016 from Nazrul Manch in Kolkata. The government officials and law enforcing agencies of the state represented this campaign. The purpose of this campaign is to engrain a sense of safe driving and responsible road behaviour among people in the state. Omission of the slightest precautions of safety may bring jeopardy. The increasing number of road accidents and deaths have led the state government to the motivation and impetus to improve the road safety situation across the state. People are often seen avoiding traffic rules and road safety measures. The carelessness of them often turns fatal. To curb the increasing number of accidents in the state, the Chief Minister advised the traffic officers for strict enforcement of rules (with sensitive handling of defaulters).This campaign should be welcomed as road -safety
