A HEAD-ON COLLISION BETWEEN MINI BUS AND PRIVATE BUS

Bangsibari ,Assam ,August 25 ,2022:A ghastly bus accident took place near Bangsibari on August 24 at about 4 p.m. According to an eye-witness ,while overtaking a Maruti car ,the speeding mini bus collided with another speeding private bus which was coming from the opposite direction .As a result 5 persons died on the spot including the driver of the mini bus ,two women and two children.15 persons were seriously injured .Hearing a loud sound ,local people rushed to the spot .As soon as possible they called the ambulance. They also informed the police .After sometime police reached the spot. Police started rescue operation with the help of local people. Injured persons were taken to Kaldighi Hospital.7 persons were released after first aid as their injuries were not serious. The rest of them were hospitalized as they were seriously injured .(BDO and MLA visited the spot and expressed grief .They assured the people of all help .)General traffic was disrupted after the incident occurred. Police intervened about the matter and took necessary steps .They soon cleared the traffic .Normalcy was restored.
