Sub: High Prices of Essential Commodities.
Respected Sir,
I shall be highly obliged if you kindly allow me a little space in the columns of your esteemed daily to express my views about the excessive rise in prices of essential commodities or articles .
The prices of essential commodities are increasing day by day in a galloping speed/(by leaps and bounds) causing much hazards for people .I suppose this is due to the ever increasing price of fossil fuels like diesel and petrol. The prices of essential commodities like onion ,potato, rice, oil, etc. have gone up very high. Recently there has been a hike in the prices of kerosene and L.P.G.(Cooking gas). The daily wage earners find it very difficult to make both ends meet .It has now become a headache to most of the people .The poor and middle class folk are its worst sufferers .The prices of groceries ,clothes etc. and life saving drugs are looking up alarmingly. Inflation can not be checked and this is a matter of grave concern. In my opinion the black marketers and dishonest businessmen are largely responsible for this price rise. Less production is also responsible for price rise.
Under the above circumstances I, therefore ,request you to write the leading article on the topic so that government or concerned authority should take appropriate steps as early as possible. The government should chalk out some planning to bring the situation under control. The crisis hour should be dealt with sensible acts, otherwise the situation will soon go beyond control.
Yours faithfully
