Why don't you say this to the people who come to you...?'-Who says this and to whom? What is referred to by the word ''this'? Why did the people come to the person spoken to?

Ans. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam says this to his father, Jainulabdeen.
The word 'this' refers to the spiritual concept of Kalam's father. Jainulabdeen informed his son that every human being is a specific element within the whole of the manifest divine Being. According to him ,one should not be afraid of difficulties, sufferings and problems. When troubles come, one should try to understand the relevance of his sufferings. Adversity always presents opportunities for introspection.Troubles and adversity come to teach us. (This was said to young Kalam by his father.) Kalam's father said this to Kalam.
People came to Abdul Kalam's father for help and advice.
