Dear Ram,
I have received your sweet letter just now. I hope you all are well by the grace of God. I am also fine by the grace of God.In your letter you wanted to know how I spent the Independence Day.Here is a short account of it.Yesterday we assembled in the school compound at 7 :30 a.m. We all were in the school uniform. Our headmaster hoisted the National Flag at 8:00 a.m. We sang national anthem in chorus.Some patriotic songs were also sung in chorus.Then the cadets of our N. C. C troop demonstrated march past (parade ). Our headmaster delivered a long speech about the importance of this day. He also advised us to pay homage to the great men who sacrificed their lives to bring freedom.Some of the students of class x also delivered short speeches.Few students and teachers recited poem. Students of class xi staged a drama.At the end of the programme, chocolates,biscuits and sweets were distributed among the students.The function ended at 11 a.m.
No more today. I shall tell you in detail when we meet.
