Bankura, January 19 ,2024: Bankura District, under the National Rural Health Mission, has implemented measures to enhance health and hygiene. The District Health officials have already highlighted the insufficient number of Health care Units in Bankura. Various health and family welfare programmes have already been held to meet the major health concerns like drinking water, sanitation, and healthy diet, pollution and many others. Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA) have been appointed to look after the general health of the people. AYUSH under National Rural Health Mission ,Vande Mataram Scheme, and Janani Suraksha Yojona are health care schemes that are yet to be carried out for the people. But there is lack of primary health centres, Govt. I.D. hospitals, health care experts and medical colleges, The Health officials need to set up pathological labs and pharmacies with reduced health cost. The poor, especially slum dwellers do not get health care service and professional medical help. The Gram Panchayats can build a framework with - private - public - partnership (P-P-P Model) to address these issues.

Advancing Healthcare in Bankura : Current Initiatives and Future Prospects"

(Under the National Rural Health Mission the Howrah District has already taken measures to improve the Health and Hygiene of the area.)Bankura District, under the National Rural Health Mission, has implemented measures to enhance health and hygiene. Challenges include insufficient healthcare units and a lack of medical colleges and experts. Initiatives such as Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA), Janani Suraksha Yojona, and Vande Mataram Scheme address major health concerns. However, the district needs to prioritize schemes like AYUSH and establish medical facilities. Collaborative efforts, utilizing the private-public-partnership (P-P-P Model), can bridge healthcare gaps. Pathological labs and pharmacies should be set up to reduce health costs. Further improvements involve addressing the healthcare needs of slum dwellers and ensuring accessible professional medical assistance. Strengthening Gram Panchayats' role in healthcare can create a robust framework for comprehensive health services.
