Bankura, January 15,2024: ABC Club/School organised a seminar on "Plastic Carry Bags - A Threat to the Environment" on 14.01.2024 at Bishnupur, Bankura.I attended that seminar.It was started at 9:00 A. M and continued till 4:00 P. M.A team of 5 experts came from Kolkata.The insightful discussion highlighted the grave consequences of plastic pollution on our ecosystem.Experts emphasized that these seemingly convenient bags pose a severe threat to marine life, often mistaken for food, leading to devastating consequences.The session shed light on the long-lasting impact of plastic on soil fertility, as it disrupts natural processes. Moreover, the presenters discussed sustainable alternatives and the importance of community efforts to reduce plastic usage. The seminar served as a wake-up call, urging us to rethink our reliance on plastic carry bags and encouraging the adoption of eco-friendly practices. It's crucial for us to spread awareness and take collective action to mitigate the environmental hazards posed by plastic pollution.
