Bishnupur,June 6,2024 :Our school organised a campaign named Plastic-Free Zone’ to declare the school and its surroundings a plastic-free zone on the occasion of World Environment Day.The campaign started at 10 A. M and continued till 4:00 P. M. The chief guest was BDO. Teachers and students worked hard for this campaign. They planned many activities and explained the harms of plastic to everyone.Teachers spoke about plastic pollution.They explained how plastic harms animals, plants, and the environment. They asked students to stop using plastic and use eco-friendly things. Students listened carefully and agreed to help.Students made posters and banners. They wrote slogans like "Say No to Plastic" and "Keep the Earth Clean." They marched in a rally around the school. They showed the banners to people and told them to stop using plastic.The school also held workshops. Teachers taught students to carry cloth bags instead of plastic bags. They asked students to bring steel or glass water bottles to school. Teachers showed students how to live without plastic.The school announced a "Plastic-Free Day." On that day, no one used plastic in the school. Students brought food in paper or steel boxes. Everyone learned how to live without plastic for a day.Local shopkeepers near the school also joined this campaign. They stopped giving plastic bags to customers. People in the neighborhood started following these ideas.This campaign made a big change. The school and its surroundings became cleaner. Students and teachers felt proud of their work. They promised to continue living without plastic.
