Or, Write a precis of the following passage. Add a suitable title: 2+8-10 The terms 'need' and 'want' refer to two distinct concepts related to human desires and requirements. Technically speaking, a need is something essential for survival, well being, and basic functioning. It is a necessity without which a person's health, safety, or overall life might be jeopardized. Food, water, shelter, clothing, health care, and education are often considered as the most fundamental needs of all the people around the world. On the other hand, a want is a desire or a preference for something that is not strictly necessary for survival or well being. Wants are often considered as fundamental, but being influenced, often again, by personal factors, cultural factors, and individual aspirations. Henceforth, entertainment, luxury items, travel, fashion and certain types of leisures or leisure activities are generally categorized as wants.
Therefore, we can say that needs are fundamental and essential for basic survival and well being, while wants are more about personal preferences and desires that to beyond basic needs or necessities. Prioritizing needs over wants is crucial in managing resources and making decisions that contribute to a balanced and fulfilling life.
