Higher Secondary Examinee's Body Recovered from Lalbandh in Bishnupur
বিষ্ণুপুরের লালবাঁধে মিলল উচ্চমাধ্যমিক পরীক্ষার্থী সৌমেন ঘোষের মৃতদেহ। উচ্চমাধ্যমিক পরীক্ষা দিয়ে বাড়ি ফেরার পর বিকালে জেরক্স করার জন্য বাজারে বেরিয়ে নিখোঁজ হয় সৌমেন। তার বাড়ি বিষ্ণুপুরের ভড়া গ্রামে। তবে তার বাবার কর্মসূত্রে তারা বিষ্ণুপুর শহরের হাউসিং কমপ্লেক্সে ভাড়া থাকতেন।
এদিন রাত দশটার পরেও বাড়ি না ফেরায় পরিবারের চরম উৎকণ্ঠা হয়। পুলিশ শহরের বিভিন্ন জায়গার সিসিটিভি ফুটেজ পরীক্ষা করে দেখে। পরিবার সূত্রে জানা গিয়েছে, এদিন বিকাল সাড়ে তিনটার সময় জেরক্স করার জন্য মাকে বলে বাড়ি থেকে বের হয় সে। তারপর থেকে তার খোঁজ পাওয়া যাচ্ছিল না।
সে বিষ্ণুপুর উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ের বিজ্ঞান বিভাগের মেধাবী ছাত্র ছিল। তার পরীক্ষাকেন্দ্র ছিল শহরেরই কুসুমবনী যমুনাদাস খেমকা হাইস্কুলে। নিখোঁজ সৌমেন ঘোষের প্যান্ট, জামা ও সাইকেল লালবাঁধের পাড়ে পড়ে থাকতে দেখা যায়। ঘটনাস্থলে পুলিশ এসে বাঁধে বোট নামিয়ে রাত ১১টা নাগাদ সৌমেনের মৃতদেহ উদ্ধার করে। আগামীকাল মৃতদেহের ময়নাতদন্ত করা হবে।
পরীক্ষা ভালো না হওয়ায় সে জীবনের এই চরম সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে বলে পুলিশের প্রাথমিক ধারণা।
The body of Higher Secondary examinee Soumen Ghosh was found in Lalbandh, Bishnupur.
After returning home from his exam, Soumen went out in the afternoon to get some documents xeroxed and went missing. He was a resident of Bhara village in Bishnupur. However, due to his father's job, the family lived in a rented apartment in the Housing Complex of Bishnupur town.
When he did not return home even after 10 PM, his family grew extremely anxious. The police examined CCTV footage from various locations in the town. According to family sources, Soumen left home around 3:30 PM after informing his mother that he was going to get some documents xeroxed. However, he did not return.
He was a meritorious science student of Bishnupur High School, and his exam center was at Kusumbani Yamunadas Khemka High School in the same town. His pants, shirt, and bicycle were found near the banks of Lalbandh. Police arrived at the scene, launched a boat into the water, and recovered his body around 11 PM. The body will be sent for a post-mortem examination tomorrow.
The police suspect that he took this extreme step due to dissatisfaction with his exam performance.
